Services

I offer in-home and virtual therapy across Chicagoland and Illinois, and virtual consultations anywhere. Here’s how we can work together:
Evaluations
Not sure if your child needs help now? Want to confirm if it’s okay to wait and see? Interested in a second opinion? A comprehensive 60-minute stuttering assessment gives you a look at your child’s current communication skills and needs, so you can make the best decision right now.
We’ll discuss your concerns and what you have been seeing at home. Then, I’ll spend time with you and your child to see their communication firsthand (you’ll also have the opportunity to send me videos ahead of time). Finally, we’ll walk through my observations and assessment, compare notes with what you have noticed, and then decide on next steps together.
Families seek an evaluation for a variety of reasons: as a first step before therapy, to get a benchmark before a monitoring period, or just to get some peace of mind. No matter your reason, we’ll create a plan that works for you, your child, and your family.
Evaluations are available in-home or virtually in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and anywhere in Illinois.
Therapy
Therapy sessions are one-on-one with you and your child, based on a parent coaching model.
Depending on your child’s needs, we’ll use the Lidcombe Program, RESTART-DCM, or Palin Parent-Child Interaction Therapy. All three are well-researched approaches for young children who stutter, and we’ll figure out together which one fits your family.
During sessions, we’ll identify, practice, and model strategies to support your child’s speech. Between sessions, you’ll put these strategies into practice in everyday communication situations.
I offer in-home or virtual sessions across Chicago and the surrounding suburbs, and virtual sessions anywhere in Illinois.
Consultations
Have questions about stuttering? I offer educational consultations for anyone, including parents who want to learn more about stuttering, teachers looking to support students who stutter in their classroom, and speech-language pathologists who want to know how best to treat their fluency cases.
These sessions are virtual and informational, so we can make it work wherever you’re located.
